Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 Motherboard Launched

Gigabyte Technology has launched a feature-packed motherboard that'll be their flagship model, the GA-X58A-UD7. It is based on the Intel X58 chipset with an LGA1366 socket for Core i7 processors. This performance-oriented board offers all the next generation features that gaming enthusiasts and power users would want, including support for Intel’s upcoming 32nm high performance processors, USB 3.0, Serial-ATA Revision 3.0 (6 Gbps), and multi-GPU.

Three graphic cards can be used at once, with its support for NVIDIA 3-Way SLI and ATI CrossFireX. Also touted are the "333 Onboard Acceleration" for overclocking and "3x USB Power Boost" for devices that need more power. The support for triple channel DDR3 memory helps by increasing memory performance. The "UD" in the model number stands for Ultra Durable, with a claimed 2 ounces of copper used for both the Power and Ground layers to lower system temperature, improve energy efficiency and enhance stability for overclocking. For USB 3.0 it uses NEC SuperSpeed USB 3.0 technology, and for SATA 6Gbps it uses Marvell's SE9128 chips with an onboard RAID processor. The Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 is priced at Rs. 24,990.
